Organized passenger transport in cities
Organized passenger transport means preparing for the inhabitants of a country's urban transport, bus and train. Organized passenger transport in cities is mainly put into use city buses, which are often modern vehicles, equipped with a range of facilities for passengers. In addition, the cities taxi ride, and some agglomerations also trams and metro. While the organized transport of passengers between cities can be performed by buses and the bus station. Several major cities in the world are adding hybrid taxis to their taxicab fleets, led by San Francisco where hybrid represent almost 50% of its taxicab fleet by March 2010,4 and New York City where hybrids taxis represent 45% of the city's total fleet by September 2012. Unlike conventional gasoline cars, hybrids get better fuel economy, do well at slow speeds or idling, and have cleaner emissions.

The Commission for Taxi Regulation (also An Coimisiún Um Rialáil Tacsaithe and Taxi Regulator) was a public body in Ireland that existed between 2004 and 2011 regulating small public service vehicles (SPSVs) - the generic term for taxis, wheelchair accessible taxis, hackneys and limousines.
Taxis and wheelchair-accessible taxis are allowed to pick up passengers in the street or at a stand and have their fares calculated by a meter; hackneys and limousines do not use meters and are not permitted to pick up passengers in the street or at a stand.
The Commission set a single maximum fare structure for taxis for all places in the Republic of Ireland, although drivers are allowed to offer discounts and customers are permitted to give tips to drivers.
